Matthew Clifford will lead Anthropic's government relations outside North America, exiting his role as the founding chair of the Advanced Research and Invention Agency. The author of the UK's AI Opportunities Action Plan will remain at the government research organization until November 6 to oversee the transition to a new chair after a 4 year tenure.

The hire occurs alongside other sector shifts, including Jeremy Berman joining Anthropic to focus on reasoning and former Adyen CFO etandowsky moving to ElevenLabs. Enterprise business currently generates 55% of revenue at ElevenLabs. Other additions include Meta's Michael de la Pena and Stripe's Andrea Ng joining Sierra Platform, while X reinstated Michael O as head of safety.
