Institutional rules and business definitions can now be stored in a model-agnostic repository to stop AI agents from making guesses about corporate data. CData has launched the Connect AI Gateway, which integrates large language models like Claude and ChatGPT with live data from Salesforce, SAP, NetSuite, and more than 350 other business systems. The tool routes requests to the appropriate model, enforces identity and policy checks down to the record level, and allows user corrections to become a permanent memory for the entire organization.

The gateway addresses fragmented knowledge currently scattered across system prompts and Slack threads by using a context graph that exists independently of any specific AI vendor. CData spent 15 years developing the underlying data infrastructure that now powers systems within Google Cloud, Palantir and Salesforce. By importing definitions from dbt and Power BI, the gateway ensures that critical company metrics, such as revenue, remain consistent even if a firm switches terms or models.
