SpaceX will activate 220,000 Nvidia GB300 chips next week at its Minihard GPU facility to begin a quarterly expansion. This rollout includes another 220,000 units in November and a potential addition of 220,000 in late December, totaling 660,000 chips in the fourth quarter. Each installment is valued at more than $15 billion, bringing the total cost of the Q4 expansion to approximately $50 billion for the Colossus computing clusters.

The overall Colossus infrastructure includes Colossus 1, which consists of 150,000 H100, 50,000 H200, and 30,000 GB200 GPUs, and Colossus 2, which houses 110,000 GB200 and 440,000 GB300 GPUs. Elon Musk stated the total combined value of the GPUs exceeds $100 billion, delivering over 2 GW of compute power.
