Institutional knowledge can now be integrated into third party AI assistants using a new set of infrastructure tools. Hebbia released its 'Headless' offering on Oct. 1, which provides an API and Model Context Protocol server to embed proprietary records and financial intelligence into tools including Claude and ChatGPT. The startup is also partnering with clients to build bespoke applications powered by the same backend.

The Headless product is already one of Hebbia's fastest growing lines, the company said. Industry observers note the shift reflects a trend in vertical AI where developers prioritize the ownership of proprietary context over the development of a standalone user interface to capture more value.
