The AI assistant Instinct has launched a partnership with Shopify that permits users to browse the merchant network and finalize orders without exiting a chat. This integration combines product discovery and order tracking into a single conversation, allowing users to complete transactions via Shop Pay using saved payment and shipping details.

Roughly 35% of Instinct users currently use the platform for personal shopping, leveraging the AI's access to their sizes, preferred brands, and purchase history. The new experience also includes automatic promo codes, price-drop alerts, and return-window reminders, a development that Shopify CEO Tobi Lütke praised.
