Opal Security's new governance platform Opal Zero allows AI agents to autonomously file access requests for internal company systems. The platform uses Paladin, an AI reasoning model, to review these requests against written policies and human ownership, granting scoped, time-bound permissions via existing Model Context Protocol (MCP) gateways. Integrations include Claude, Okta Cross App Access, Databricks Unity Gateway, and AWS AgentCore Gateway.

General availability for the product begins at the end of September following development with design partners Databricks, Elastic, Faire, and Superhuman. The launch marks the seventh AI control plane to enter the market in three weeks, reflecting a rapid trend toward standardized authorization layers for machine identities.
