Revenue of billions of dollars per month has been guaranteed by several research laboratories for the use of specialized artificial intelligence hardware. The operation, known as SpaceXAI, also spent the summer in discussions with Microsoft to lease its computing capacity to the technology giant.

These efforts represent a strategy by Elon Musk to push deeper into the AI cloud business. SpaceXAI is targeting companies that require massive amounts of compute power for training large scale models, positioning itself as a provider of essential infrastructure.
