Meta is introducing a dedicated physical interface for its AI vision called the Muse Charm, a handheld, fingerprint-activated device with a 2 inch OLED touch screen and 5G connectivity. The device, which aims to bypass the smartphone for AI interactions, is targeting a December 26 release. The accompanying Muse AI agent has reached 2.8 million downloads in two weeks and currently ranks as the top free app in the US and Canada, with daily active users growing 10x in 11 days to approximately 700,000.

Market reaction to the 'agentic' capabilities of Muse, which can complete transactions through partners like Shopify and Box, has pushed Meta shares up nearly 13% this week. Conversely, Booking and TripAdvisor fell more than 6% and Charles Schwab dropped nearly 5% as investors assessed the threat of AI agents automating service comparisons. Meta also announced the release of camera-free Ray-Ban Meta Audio glasses and new VR glasses for $1,300, scheduled to launch in spring 2027.
