Multi-step AI agents are now integrated into the hardware of HP's professional laptops to automate complex architectural and engineering tasks. The AI assistant known as Computer arrives pre-installed on the HP ZBook Ultra G3a and connects to Autodesk Revit via an MCP server to read building data, write reports, and export views. This integration enables users to draft requests for information directly from their active Revit models.

A local-first version called Portable Computer is also available on supported HP PCs, executing tasks entirely on-device to maintain data privacy and avoid cloud credit usage. Perplexity is beginning this pre-loaded distribution with the ZBook Ultra G3a and will expand the software to a wider range of HP devices over time.
