The new digital interface America.gov opened to the public at 10 a.m. ET on Tuesday during a "Golden Age" event at Washington's Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium. President Trump and Vice President Vance hosted the launch with tech leaders including Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang. The platform uses artificial intelligence to function as a single entry point for citizens, consolidating roughly 29,000 federal agency websites into one conversational interface that pulls from official sources.

Developed by the National Design Studio and led by Chief Design Officer Joe Gebbia, an Airbnb cofounder, the portal is private by design and does not track users or require logins to function. Gebbia stated that the search functionality cuts across multiple agencies to package personalized answers and clear next steps for users. Trump described the release as one of the most revolutionary product launches in history.
