Weights and training environments for a 1.02 trillion-parameter AI model are now available to the public following a release by Xiaomi. The MiMo-V2.6-Pro system handles text, images, video, and audio with a 1M-token context window and is distributed under an MIT license. It scored 46 on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index, tying Grok 4.7 for the top position among open-weight models and trailing Claude Opus 5 by approximately 5 points. The model costs $0.13 per Intelligence Index task, compared to $1.99 for GPT-5.6 Sol.

Xiaomi also open-sourced the MiMo-V2.6-Flash model, its RL training code, and a detailed technical report. The reinforcement learning run for the Pro model cost $2.6M and was live-streamed by the company to provide transparency into the training process. While MiMo leads the open-weight category, it remains behind closed-frontier models such as Fable 5.1 and GPT-6 Astra, which score around 53 on the same index.
