1 Trump Accounts Buy $500K Boeing Stock on Day of $880M Navy AwardBALMTNOC 💼 Business Sep 29, 5:35 PM EDT 58/37
Filings reveal that shares of a major aerospace company were purchased by entities tied to Donald Trump on the date the firm landed a new government contract. The accounts acquired up to $500,000 of Boeing stock on the day the Department of War and the U.S. Navy awarded the contractor an $880 million agreement. This activity follows the government's announcement that Boeing will also lead the development of the F/A-XX stealth strike fighter under a contract valued at more than $20 billion.
The F/A-XX will replace the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler starting in the 2030s as part of the Next Generation Air Dominance program. By winning both this and the Air Force's F-47 contract in March 2025, Boeing is now the only U.S. manufacturer of sixth-generation fighters, excluding Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman from the category. Pentagon officials have previously voiced concerns over Boeing's ability to manage multiple fighters simultaneously, citing safety failures with the 737 MAX and delays with the KC-46 tanker and T-7 trainer.
