The president asserted that neither Iran nor Yemen carried out the attack on the East-West crude oil pipeline, suggesting instead that Israel or its agents likely hit the facility to create conflict and inflame regional disputes.

The East-West pipeline serves as a primary conduit for Saudi oil because the Strait of Hormuz is currently closed. While Pezeshkian's remarks distance Tehran from the hit, officials in Riyadh and Baghdad previously stated the attack was launched using drones from Iraqi soil.
