Saudi Aramco is seeking thousands of tons of diesel in the Mediterranean and gasoline in Europe after attacks on its refineries and energy facilities. The search for fuel comes as German diesel prices average €2.45 a liter.

Saudi Arabia has canceled some late-September crude cargoes to European customers following the shutdown of its East-West pipeline. Oil loadings have also stopped at Yanbu, its main Red Sea export port. The pipeline carries crude across the country to Yanbu, bypassing the Strait of Hormuz.

Kpler estimates that pipeline damage could reduce Yanbu exports by 2.5 million to 2.7 million BPD for up to six weeks. Saudi Arabia can redirect roughly 3 million BPD through Ras Tanura, but that increases reliance on Hormuz. US Energy Secretary Chris Wright offered a shorter restart outlook on Tuesday, telling CNBC he thought the pipeline would resume operations within days.
