Germany's largest lender announced plans to roll out a cryptocurrency storage service for its corporate and institutional users in Europe later this year. The platform will allow these clients to hold and transfer bitcoin, ether, and select stablecoins, including USDC, EURC, and EURAU, once regulators provide approval.
Deutsche Bank targets banks, asset managers, brokers, and fintech firms for the service, which manages assets for a firm with around $1.7 trillion in total holdings. The bank will expand the offering to include tokenized financial instruments in future phases of the rollout.
