International travelers can now conduct transactions using Tether (USDT) at retail stores in Japan by linking Binance Pay to the country's PayPay infrastructure. The integration, facilitated by payment provider HIVEX, allows eligible overseas visitors to spend digital assets at millions of supported locations nationwide, while merchants receive payments settled in Japanese yen through existing retail systems.

The payment feature is available exclusively to visitors from outside Japan and is not open to local residents. By leveraging the PayPay ecosystem, one of the largest mobile payment networks in the region, Binance enables tourists to use stablecoins for daily retail consumption as they would with a local payment method.
