Bitget's technical team identified and patched a security vulnerability that had allowed attackers to breach the exchange's infrastructure. The company began a phased return of user funds on Sept. 28, resuming the ability for customers to transfer BTC from their accounts.

All other assets will be available for withdrawal by Oct. 2. The restoration follows a security breach that resulted in a $388 million exploit, though Bitget did not disclose further details regarding the specific nature of the vulnerability used in the attack.
