Federal authorities are moving to charge a U.S. servicemember suspected of wagering on combat actions involving Iran and Venezuela. The individual allegedly earned more than $1 million through the decentralized prediction market Polymarket, according to The Wall Street Journal.

In a separate probe, officials are investigating a KPMG employee for allegedly betting on the quarterly earnings of a public company. Formal charges in both cases may be filed this fall, though final decisions have not been reached.
