The car maker produced 464,391 vehicles in the third quarter of 2026, falling short of analyst projections of 473,294. Despite the production miss, Tesla delivered 486,532 vehicles, exceeding the Wall Street forecast of 463,761 and marking the company's third-highest delivery volume in its history. Shipments for the period declined 2% year-over-year, trailing the peak delivery numbers recorded in Q3 2025 and Q4 2024.

Tesla also deployed 13.7 GWh of energy storage products, its second-best quarterly performance. Model 3 and Model Y led vehicle activity with 457,387 units produced and 478,237 delivered. Other models accounted for the remaining 7,004 vehicles produced and 8,295 delivered during the quarter.
