The collapse of a defense contract with Norway has left Malaysia without a planned update to its naval strike missile inventory. The government is now evaluating a new expenditure of more than $245 million to fill that capability gap, The Star reported.

The search for a replacement system follows the breakdown of the prior agreement with Norway earlier this year. Details regarding the specific vendors being considered for the procurement have not yet been disclosed.
