The Israeli military killed an 11-year-old Palestinian boy last week in a section of Gaza designated as a safe zone, according to New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani. Appearing on the Theo Von podcast, Mamdani described Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as the 'architect of a horrific genocide' and demanded that the United States join the International Criminal Court to facilitate the arrest of the Israeli leader.

Mamdani stated that his call for intervention stems from the desire of Palestinian families for safety and dignity. He argued that the pursuit of an arrest warrant is necessary because the violence continues despite international discussions regarding a ceasefire.
