President Donald Trump stated that the U.S. and Poland have made "major progress" toward establishing a new Army base with the location to be disclosed shortly. Trump credited Polish President Karol Nawrocki for the leadership driving the effort and described the move as a historic step for the alliance. The facility would be the third U.S. military site in the country, joining the Naval Support Facility Redzikowo and Camp Kościuszko.

The potential expansion follows a May order by Trump to deploy 5,000 additional U.S. troops to Poland. Washington and Warsaw are continuing talks to strengthen American military presence, including discussions on permanent troop presence and infrastructure. Trump indicated the location will be announced soon if the plans move forward.
