Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi, a senior military adviser to the Supreme Leader, has stated that Iran is preparing for a worst-case scenario involving another attack by Washington or Tel Aviv. Safavi warned that a further confrontation could stretch the war's geography, potentially reaching the Indian Ocean. Simultaneously, the Supreme National Security Council gave the U.S. five days to accept certain conditions or face the closure of Iranian airports to countries collaborating with the U.S.

Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Mohsen Rezaei also threatened that neighboring countries continuing to block Iranian commercial flights will see their own airports become unable to operate. These escalations follow a U.S. Treasury campaign to shut down Iranian airlines globally, which has already led countries including Iraq, Turkey, and Azerbaijan to restrict flights from the Middle East nation.
