Officials from the United States, Egypt, and several other regional powers gathered in Abu Dhabi for expanded security meetings with the Israeli Prime Minister, Channel 14 reported. The discussions included representatives from 10 countries—including Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, and Libyan commander Khalifa Haftar—to coordinate responses to Iranian threats, Houthi activities, and the use of Israeli defense systems. The talks began as a bilateral session between Benjamin Netanyahu and UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed on Sunday before expanding to the wider coalition.

The Israeli Prime Minister's Office confirmed the visit, noting that the head of Mossad and the head of the National Security Council were in the delegation. The UAE state news agency formally acknowledged the meeting 24 hours after it occurred, the first such public confirmation since the countries normalized ties in 2020. While the PMO dismissed allegations that Netanyahu sought a cover-up of warnings given prior to the October 7 attacks as "fake news," separate reports from the Italian newspaper Il Foglio cited a secret meeting between Netanyahu and Haftar.
