NFL teams received a notification Saturday that the league's top executive finalized a new four season extension to remain in his post. The agreement expires March 31, 2031, which ensures Roger Goodell manages the NFL through the end of the 2030 season.

Compensation committee chair Robert Kraft issued the announcement via a memo to the membership. Goodell will be 72 years old and will have completed 25 seasons as commissioner at the conclusion of the contract in 2031.
