The Valor Atreides AI Fund and Hummingbird Ventures co-led a fresh capital injection for robotics startup Watney to expand its autonomous systems used by hyperscalers. This round included participation from Conviction, Abstract, A*, and Grant Gordon, bringing the company's total funding to over $100 million. The $80 million Series A investment focuses on growing a fleet designed to automate the construction of data centers.

The firm has provided end-to-end deployment models for the world's largest hyperscalers since 2025 to accelerate compute infrastructure rollouts. Watney operates the largest fleet of dexterous robots running 24/7/365 in the U.S. and reports reliability of more than 99.99% across hundreds of thousands of hours in customer facilities.
