The payment processor deployed WebMCP across all of its hosted checkout pages to enable AI agents to buy more efficiently. This technical update covers 7.8 million businesses that collectively account for 0.45% of the world's GDP. Internal benchmarks show that the implementation reduces token usage by 42% and lowers checkout latency by 39% during AI agent transactions.

WebMCP allows AI agents to complete payments in a browser using the Stripe Checkout interface. The update is currently available to all merchants using hosted pages, reducing the time and computational resources required for automated software to finalize a transaction.
