Corporate clients including PepsiCo, DHL and US Foods are now receiving their keys to the Tesla Semi electric truck. This delivery rollout follows the opening of a new production facility in Sparks, Nevada, which has an installed capacity of 50,000 units per year. A Tesla executive confirmed that the initial shipments of the heavy-duty vehicles are beginning this week.

The truck travels 600 miles on one charge at half weight or 500 miles when carrying its full 82k gross combination weight. To support the fleet, Tesla will deploy more than 30 Megacharging stations with over 200 MW charging posts by the end of 2026. The company will also build private charging infrastructure to supplement the public network.
