Trump Urges US Data Centers over Google $15.2B Finland DealGOOGL

Donald Trump told Alphabet's chief executive officer he wants digital infrastructure expanded domestically rather than in Europe. The U.S. president stated he wants data centers "built in America" after the group discussed the geographic locations of facilities being developed abroad and critiqued the placement of a project in Finland.

The criticism follows an announcement by Finland President Alexander Stubb that Google will invest at least $15.2B in the country over the next 2 years. This expenditure, which Google described as its largest single investment in Europe, is intended to grow the nation's data center footprint from 50 facilities to 75.
