The former U.S. president and a Texas senator are raising funds for candidates for the U.S. Senate in a Dallas drive that targets several key races. The New York Times reported that George W. Bush and John Cornyn omitted Texas nominee Ken Paxton from the gathering, excluding the candidate in their own home state despite headlining the event for other top Republican nominees.

Bush is assisting with money raising for 6 Republican candidates, including Susan Collins in Maine and Mike Rogers in Michigan. Other candidates on the list are Jon Husted of Ohio, Dan Sullivan of Alaska, John Sununu of New Hampshire, and Ashley Hinson of Iowa.
