Senator Jon Ossoff's bid for a second term in the Georgia Senate race has won over a prominent political opponent from the agriculture sector. Donald Chase, the chairman of the Georgia Peanut Commission, announced his endorsement of the Democrat for reelection, becoming the latest member of the GOP to back Ossoff. Chase is an Oglethorpe peanut farmer who has voted Republican for nearly his entire adult life.

The endorsement comes while Ossoff continues his campaign for the seat. A political probability tracker currently estimates that the incumbent has a 94% chance of winning the election, according to figures cited by political analysts.
