Six unauthorized aircraft breached Moldovan airspace on Oct. 3 during broad Russian strikes on Ukraine, according to Moldova's Army. Three missiles and two drones exploded on the ground across four districts, while a sixth object crossed the border and subsequently exited the country. This event marks the first time the nation has recovered such a high volume of aerial debris across so many separate locations.

President Maia Sandu identified the weapons as including Banderol missiles and stated that Russia's war is now directly risking the lives of Moldovan citizens. The incursions caused vegetation fires in Crocmaz and Constantinovca and damaged windows at an agricultural facility. Military and police recovered wreckage from the districts of Căușeni, Ștefan Vodă, Anenii Noi, and Hîncești.
