Gaza's Government Media Office announced an emergency effort to clear and raze structures across the enclave identified as immediate collapse risks. The plan targets 255 buildings damaged by Israeli attacks to prevent further structural failures. The Gaza Health Ministry reported 61 deaths from the collapse of war-damaged buildings, including 21 displaced Palestinians killed in a single event last week.

Around 3,000 buildings are categorized as dangerous or at risk of collapse throughout the territory. Shortages of heavy machinery, funding, and alternative shelter for displaced residents complicate the evacuation and demolition process.
