Jabr Moqbel, the manager of a currency exchange network that funneled millions of shekels to Hamas, was killed by the Israeli military in a strike in Deir al-Balah on Thursday. A separate attack in Khan Yunis killed Hasan al-Batta, whom the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) identified as a sniper for the group's military wing. Both targets were struck in separate operations across central and southern Gaza.

The IDF stated both operatives were restoring Hamas's military infrastructure and planning attacks in systematic violation of the current ceasefire. The military reported that Moqbel's network provided foreign currency used to finance terrorist personnel and rebuild assets to target Israeli troops.
