An aerial attack in the city of Khan Younis on Tuesday resulted in the deaths of two people. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz announced that the operation killed Mohammed Abu Alwan, who led the finance department for Hamas, after a missile hit a vehicle in southern Gaza.

Defense Minister Israel Katz credited the IDF and Shin Bet for the "precise operation" to disrupt the group's sources of funding. Katz stated that Israel will continue to pursue commanders and destroy terrorist infrastructure to ensure the organization cannot rebuild its strength in Gaza.
