Russian intelligence points to hybrid strike plans against nations supporting Ukraine, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said Wednesday. Poland scrambled fighter aircraft on Thursday after a Russian jet-powered drone exploded 4 km from the border near Yahodyn-Dorohusk, an event Tusk described as a "very massive explosion." The prime minister stated that the country is preparing for a range of security scenarios to ensure it is not naive about the threat.

Tusk will visit Ukraine on Friday for a summit with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico and will urge the implementation of tougher sanctions on Moscow. He warned that Russian attacks on energy infrastructure will intensify by winter, adding that such provocations and strikes may not remain within Ukraine's borders.
