Fires broke out at the Ryazan oil refinery and the Rostov-on-Don airfield following a wave of Ukrainian drone attacks on Sept 6. Ukraine's General Staff confirmed the strikes, which also targeted a Podlyot radar and two Pantsir-S1 air defense systems in the Rostov region. Russian Governor Pavel Malkov stated drone debris damaged residential buildings in Ryazan and the Sapozhkovsky District, though he reported no casualties.

Satellite imagery of a separate Sept 4 attack in Sochi shows the destruction of one Ka-52 and one Mi-28 helicopter and damage to an Mi-8. That operation also destroyed two S-300 launchers and a Pantsir system in the Sirius settlement, alongside four RVS fuel tanks at the BATO oil depot. Russia's MoD claimed it intercepted 400 Ukrainian drones and four guided bombs within a 24 hour period.
