A joint operation by the Security Service of Ukraine, the Unmanned Systems Forces, and intelligence agencies targeted the Yaroslavl oil refinery and a military airfield in Rostov on Thursday. The 320,000 barrel per day facility accounts for approximately 5% of Russia's total refining capacity. Governor Mikhail Yevrayev confirmed that drones damaged the plant and ignited a fire, which has since been extinguished.

The attack on the Rostov airfield damaged one An-12 aircraft, two An-26s, and three helicopters. This operation ends a one-week pause in strikes and returns the frequency of refinery attacks to the four to five per week pace seen between May and July. NASA FIRMS detected heat signatures over the refinery Thursday morning following the strike.
