Yemen's Houthi rebels claimed they targeted "sensitive" sites in Riyadh and a Saudi Aramco facility in Yanbu with ballistic missiles and drones on Saturday. A fuel tank near King Khalid International Airport caught fire following explosions heard across the city, resulting in flight cancellations and delays at the hub.

The operation triggered the first air raid alert in Riyadh since combat resumed in neighboring Yemen. Military spokesman Yahya Saree stated the strikes caused large fires at both locations, while Saudi Arabia has not issued an official confirmation of the Houthi statement.
