Saudi air defenses intercepted two ballistic missiles aimed at Khamis Mushait and two drones targeting the capital, Riyadh, according to army spokesperson Turki Al-Maliki. These attacks were part of a wide-ranging Houthi operation that hit oil and military facilities spanning the kingdom from Jizan in the south to the Red Sea port of Yanbu, as reported by the Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar.

A US KC-46A refueling aircraft was active over the Red Sea to support fighter or reconnaissance jets, marking the first time such an asset has been deployed in the region since the Saudi-Yemen war began. The simultaneous strikes also triggered early warning alerts in Abha and Khamis Mushait and caused aircraft to divert from airports in the capital.
