Six people were injured and several others died during Pakistani military flight operations over Afghan territory, according to a provincial official in Afghanistan. The reported casualties come as combat between Pakistani forces and the Taliban persists into a second week, with clashes occurring along the shared border and in regional hubs.

The escalation follows airstrikes on Sept. 23 and 24 targeting 10 locations in Kandahar, Paktika, and Khost. Information Minister Attaullah Tarar stated the raids targeted sites used to launch and store drones utilized against Pakistan, though Kabul has denied launching any such attacks. Pakistan has accused the Taliban of sheltering TTP militants and allowing terrorist sanctuaries on Afghan soil.
