The internet and surveillance company Datagroup was struck by a Russian Geran-5 drone in Kyiv on September 25. Several other data centers in the capital were also hit during the barrage, and President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that Russia has expanded its targeting to include data centers across Ukraine.

Metrics from NetBlocks show the bombardment caused disruptions on networks downstream of Datagroup on Thursday. The network monitoring service stated that these strikes mark a new strategic focus by Russia on the disruption of Ukraine's digital infrastructure.
