Russian military drones targeted the country's largest mobile provider and several internet hubs in a widening offensive against Ukraine's digital infrastructure. Recent strikes hit the Cosmonova data center in Kyiv on Saturday, causing multiple local television broadcasts and news channels to go offline. These operations utilize Geran-4 and Geran-5 jet-powered drones to disrupt the transmission of critical information and sever connectivity for both civilian and military users.

The campaign has lasted nearly 3 weeks and has damaged 11 data centers, including 10 in Kyiv and one in Dnipro. Attacks on providers such as Datagroup disrupted internet access for roughly 100K Kyiv residents and targeted intelligence relays. The Russian Ministry of Defense claims the facility at Cosmonova was used to supply Starlink communications to the Ukrainian military.
