Ukrainian emergency services responded to a morning wave of drone and missile strikes in the capital that killed a utility worker and hit the grounds of a central embassy. The death toll in Kyiv rose to 3 people with 6 others injured as the city remained under air raid alerts for more than 11 hours. A driver for Kyivteploenergo was among those killed during the daylight assaults.

These raids followed an overnight barrage of nearly 190 attack drones and ballistic missiles that targeted energy infrastructure in the capital and surrounding regions. Across Ukraine, 5 people were killed, including a child, and 14 others were injured, with impacts reported at a grocery supermarket in Ivankovychi and critical infrastructure in Zhytomyr and Mykolaiv. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called for more air defense interceptors to protect against the strikes as winter nears.
