Ukrainian troops recaptured the settlement of Serednie and liberated three other villages during a military push in the northern Donetsk region. Third Army Corps commander Andriy Biletsky announced the start of "Operation Vivaldi," which cleared 75 sq km of territory and de-occupied an additional 10 sq km. The offensive also focused on Novoselivka, Oleksandrivka, Yarova, and the area around Korovyi Yar to remove Russian infiltration.

Videos are now emerging to visually confirm these advances north of Lyman after both sides restricted imagery for security reasons. The operation follows a broader period where Russian forces lost roughly 240 sq km in the sector over several months, a setback that disrupted Moscow's efforts to build an offensive axis toward the Sloviansk-Kramatorsk urban area.
