Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell denied claims that US missile stocks are depleted, while a Defense Department inspector general report cautioned that the war created strategic inventory shortfalls and supply bottlenecks. Total expenditures through mid-July included approximately 1,700 Patriots, 200 THAADs, and 150 naval Standard Missiles.
