A US service member told MSN News they raised concerns over orders to strike Iranian bridges that they did not believe were legitimate military targets. The individual is currently seeking conscientious-objector status, citing doubts about the legality and morality of commands issued during the ongoing conflict with Iran.

Superiors reportedly justified the target selection by classifying the infrastructure as dual-use, a designation the service member disputed. Additional military personnel also reported to MSN News and Al Mayadeen that they received Pentagon orders to bomb other Iranian civilian facilities.
