Diplomatic missions from several Western countries are arranging the relocation of their operations from the Ukrainian capital to Lviv or eastern Poland following a series of intensified air raids. Russia's Ministry of Defense claimed responsibility for striking the city's Northern Bridge to disrupt military transport, alongside attacks on a logistics center in Hostomel and a dry cargo ship in the northwestern Black Sea carrying military supplies to Odesa.

The diplomatic shift follows a wave of strikes utilizing jet-powered drones with shaped charges and cutter warheads to disable bridge supports. Ukrainian air defenses neutralized 88 of 108 drones during a recent overnight raid that killed one civilian in a 25 story residential building. Intelligence reports indicate Russia may also expand its campaign this winter to dismantle power and heating infrastructure in major Ukrainian cities.
