🌍 World Oct 3, 6:32 AM EDT 11/11
A search and rescue operation is focused on locating six people who went missing early Saturday during a flight over the Atlantic Ocean. New flight data reveals the Gulfstream G100 aircraft, operated by Latitude Air Ambulance, descended more than 9,000 feet in two minutes before it disappeared from radar off the coast of Nantucket, Massachusetts.
The U.S. Coast Guard has deployed air and surface crews just south of Nantucket to find the plane, registration C-GJRP, which was traveling from Bermuda to Boston Logan as flight HTT104. The aircraft is owned by Latitude Air Ambulance of Hamilton, Ontario, and the FAA reported losing contact shortly after the steep descent was recorded, with final data received two minutes later.
