A residential building in the Plaka tourist district of Athens was demolished by an explosion on Sept. 26, leaving three people injured. One woman died in the blast, and five people remain missing in the wreckage of the demolished property. The explosion also caused structural damage to nearby homes and shops in the area.

Emergency crews are searching the rubble for the missing individuals. The blast occurred in a residential area of the neighborhood that is heavily visited by tourists.
